I can eat pizza 7 days a week, and that’s just a fact I am not ashamed of. Here are a couple of other beers that go well with a pie.

ANCHOR STEAM BEER - Anchor Brewing; San Francisco, CA
4.90%ABV
Serving: 12oz to pils
Beautiful amber color with one finger frothy head that retains and leaves sticky lace throughout the glass. Some malty notes but citrusy, crisp aromas more pleasing to the nose. Taste is creamier than expected; balanced with grains and citrus hops left behind. Medium body, carbonated well. This smooth beer is easy to drink and leaves a pleasant hoppy taste on the tongue. I would have a lot with pizza. I would have a lot alone. I really like the character of this beer. I really like this beer, period. It’s so unique! I would recommend it anytime.
Anchor Steam - A

DOWNTOWN BROWN - Lost Coast Brewery and Cafe; Eureka, CA
5.00%ABV
Serving: 12oz to pint
Nearly a finger of an off-white, bubbly head dissipates quickly but leaves behind lacing; brown and ruby hues. Appearance is eerily reminiscent of root beer. Sweet nutty malts, hints of coffee. Taste features sweet nutty flavor with roasted oats or grains; hops try to come through at back of palate but fail to overtake the sweetness. Carbonation seems fine but the light body is sometimes thin and watery. Not complicated, or what I would call neutral, which makes this another good pizza beer (in the realm of Newcastle, etc).
Downtown Brown - B- (mostly for the pizza compatibility)
